About the Role

We’re looking for detail-oriented and capable QA Engineers to join our engineering team and support the delivery of high-quality web and mobile applications. We are hiring for two roles, one focused on web applications and one on mobile.

You will work within a cross-functional Agile team, taking ownership of testing activities and driving test automation across the stack. This role is suited to someone who is hands-on, proactive, and focused on delivering reliable, well-tested systems that support our global financial platform.

You will play a key role in improving test coverage, identifying risks early, and ensuring that quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.

This role can be hybrid at our office in Portimao or fully remote across Portugal.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to analyse and refine requirements

• Coordinate testing activities within the team

• Design, implement, and execute both manual and automated tests

• Drive test automation within the team, identifying suitable areas for automation

• Build and maintain automated test suites (web or mobile, depending on role)

• Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with developers to resolve issues

• Help identify root causes of issues and contribute to effective solutions

• Proactively identify high-impact bugs and ensure timely resolution

• Contribute to improving testing processes, standards, and coverage

• Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and repeatable releases

• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies

Candidate Profile

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in QA or test automation engineering

• Experience working within Agile development environments

• Experience with test management tools (e.g. Xray) and defect tracking

• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred)

Automation & Technical Skills

You should have experience in either web or mobile automation, depending on the role:

A) Web QA Engineer

• Experience with web automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar

• Experience with API testing tools such as Rest Assured, Postman, Axios, or equivalent

B) Mobile QA Engineer

• Experience with mobile automation frameworks such as Appium, WebdriverIO, or similar

Core Skills

• Strong understanding of test design, risk identification, and scenario creation

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to prioritise testing based on risk and impact

• High attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality

• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

• Creative and practical approach to problem-solving

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills

Nice to Have

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field

• ISTQB Foundation Certification
