About the Role
We’re looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Onboarding Analyst to support our first line of defence across a global client portfolio.
In this role, you’ll learn how regulated financial institutions verify customers, assess risk, and prevent financial crime before any money moves. You’ll review customer information, carry out KYC (Know Your Client) and due-diligence checks, and work with experienced colleagues to ensure every new client meets regulatory requirements, VFX’s risk standards, and the expectations of our tier-1 banking partners.
No prior experience is required — just a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, good judgement, and a genuine interest in compliance, operations, or financial crime.
Key Responsibilities
KYC, Due Diligence & Risk Assessment
Review customer information and documentation to assess onboarding risk in line with regulatory requirements and VFX’s risk appetite.
Carry out KYC and due diligence checks across corporate customers, with guidance and support from senior colleagues.
Escalate higher-risk or more complex cases to Senior Analysts or Compliance for further review.
Maintain clear, accurate and audit-ready records of onboarding decisions and supporting evidence.
Risk Decisioning & Governance
Apply structured, risk-based thinking to onboarding decisions in line with internal policies and procedures.
Follow escalation frameworks consistently and accurately.
Ensure all onboarding activity is well-documented and meets governance and audit standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Compliance, Risk, Relationship Management and Transaction Monitoring teams to resolve onboarding queries and gather required information.
Share observations on emerging onboarding patterns, typologies or risks as you build experience.
Support MI preparation and assist with data or documentation requests for audits and reviews.
Process & Control Enhancement
Support enhancements to onboarding processes, documentation and workflows to improve efficiency and control effectiveness.
Participate in ongoing systems, policy and control improvements as the business grows.
Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree (2:1 or above) or equivalent experience in a relevant field (Business, Economics, Mathematics, Law etc.)
Clear communicator with strong written skills and the ability to explain findings concisely and logically.
Detail-oriented, organised, and comfortable applying structured thinking to assessments and decisions.
Proactive, curious and eager to grow within a regulated, fast-moving fintech environment.
Collaborative and keen to build positive working relationships across multiple teams.

At VFX, the biggest benefit is the opportunity to act like an owner. Through our Profit Share Scheme (PSP) and Company Share Option Plan (CSOP), every team member has a chance to own a stake in the business and share in the profits.
To show you what that looks like, in 2024, PSP participants received over $1,000,000 USD. From those distributions, more than 80% of eligible VFXers chose to become shareholders — a powerful reflection of the belief and commitment that drives VFX forward.
